Due to the effects of COVID-19, Ohio Governor Mike DeWine has banned large gatherings of 100+ individuals. Therefore, the Ohio Chemistry Technology Council has canceled the 32nd Annual Conference scheduled for April 27 & 28. While we are disappointed to miss this opportunity to share and network among chemical industry leaders, we feel that cancellation is in the best interest of our members, staff and the general public.
In honor of the amazing work our member companies are doing at their facilities, we will continue selecting this years' Annual Conference Award Winners. All winning companies will receive an engraved trophy to their site's location, as well as recognition in OCTC's weekly bulletin, a state-wide press release, and OCTC's social channels. OCTC is excited to recognize and share these amazing initiatives and best practices across our industry.
The Annual Conference not only allows for collaboration and networking opportunities, but the funds raised through the Annual Conference directly support our advocacy efforts at the Statehouse and ongoing operational expenses. To that end, if you are willing and able to allow OCTC to retain your registration and sponsorship dollars, it would go a long way to ensure the future success of the organization in supporting the industry and providing value to our members, and OCTC will recognize your company's generosity through our communication channels. That said, refunds will be provided upon request. If you would like a refund of your Annual Conference registration or sponsorship, please email firstname.lastname@example.org by April 10th, 2020.
In addition, all individual room reservations made at the Sheraton Columbus Hotel under OCTC's Room Block will be canceled by the hotel. If you have any questions or concerns about your room reservation, please email Nicole Bauers.
While the 2020 conference is canceled, we will continue to explore all avenues in sharing the latest developments impacting Ohio's chemical industry. We hope to provide much of the content that was on this year’s agenda through other communication channels. OCTC is committed to providing an event with a high level of value for the industry, and we look forward to your attendance in 2021.
We appreciate your patience and understanding. If you have additional questions, please contact Jenn Klein or Andy Swaim.
