OCTC is excited to announce this year's Eagle Award for Excellence in Environmental, Health, Safety & Security Performance. Our panel of judges selected this program for standing out in scope, implementation, impact and sustainability.
The Lubrizol Corporation - Painesville
The Lubrizol Corporation recognizes that their success is reliant on the health and safety of their employees. As the Painesville facility began to dig into injury statistics, they quickly realized musculoskeletal injuries accounted for a large percentage. As the site dug deeper, they realized a key element of health and safety was missing, this is where we began our ergonomics journey. By working with an ergonomist, developing a cross functional ergonomic team, and focusing on eliminating or reducing ergonomic risks, the site was able to reduce ergonomic related injuries by 72% in 1 year.
Award for Excellence Winners
This year, 24 member companies have been selected to receive an award for excellence in Environmental, Health, Safety or Security Performance. Each facility of a member company submitted a nomination on its own behalf which was then submitted and reviewed by our distinguished panel of judges.
In addition to demonstrating commitment and achievement in protecting people and the environment, a nomination must focus on a program or activity the company believes represents excellence in environmental, health, safety or security performance.
